Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 June 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the VeePy app for iPhone and iPad (“VeePy”, “the app”). By downloading or using VeePy you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app

VeePy is a code editor and on-device Python IDE. It lets you edit files, run Python locally on your device, use git over HTTPS, connect to your own servers over SSH/SFTP, and get explanations from an AI assistant that you power with your own API key. VeePy runs on your device and has no VeePy-operated server.

2. Apple’s standard licence

VeePy is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, as supplemented by these Terms. Where these Terms and the Apple standard EULA conflict on a point the Apple EULA covers, the Apple EULA applies.

3. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

VeePy offers an optional VeePy Pro auto-renewable subscription and an optional Tip Jar.

4. Bring-your-own-key AI

The AI assistant requires an API key from a third-party AI provider that you supply. You are responsible for your own provider account, its costs, and complying with that provider’s terms. The AI assistant is explanatory only — it does not run code and has no “apply” button. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing anything before you rely on it.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to use VeePy lawfully and only with content, servers, repositories, and accounts you are authorised to access. You are responsible for your own code, files, credentials, and backups. You must not use the app to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.

6. Third-party services

When you choose to use them, third-party services (your AI provider, your git/SSH/ SFTP hosts, Apple’s App Store and iCloud) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. VeePy is not responsible for third-party services.

7. No warranty

VeePy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, code, or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
